I have wanted to write this post actually for a while now — so I decided to do it today. Lately, I have been tangled up in responsibilities and work. I went to Tallinn on Tuesday to have the new Polaroid pictures taken for the clients.
I had to be there quite early — I mean it’s actually not that early — but I had to leave at eight o’clock in the morning. Anyway, I had to be there at 11.30. I know that in the future I will have some modeling gigs and castings way earlier, but I’m a newbie so I will ease into it — plus, I’m definitely a morning person — so it won’t hopefully be a challenge for me.
As I arrived at Tallinn, I had an early lunch and then started heading to the agency. I had to use Google Maps to find the building as they just recently moved into another place — nearer to the city center — which is more convenient for me. As I was making my way there — probably looking like a confused Asian tourist — I finally managed to find it with a little help from my booker. I still had to call her in the end as I wasn’t able to find the entrance.
She was glad to see me and even gave me a hug — it felt so heart-warmingly nice. I haven’t probably mentioned it, but the booker, who had introduced me the modeling world went on a maternity leave at the beginning of the year — so my new booker, Alisa, has been managing my modeling stuff.
After taking the Polaroids at the agency. We had a talk about my opportunities in the future — travels, fashion gigs, etc. She said that they will try to fit in as many gigs as possible into the holidays — because I’m still a student. Being a boarding student in another country and having a career as a model at the same time will be a challenge, but I’m ready to take it on. Alisa said that there are already many clients interested in me, which was really flattering to know. Unfortunately, during the summer I had lost some weight — which made my hip size decrease.
So in order for me to get better opportunities in modeling, I have to gain weight. So my hips would be an appropriate size for a fashion model. She also said that my shoulders look too skinny and that for example in France they will say that I’m too skinny for them. I promised Alisa to increase my hip width, and let her know immediately when I have accomplished that. Deep inside I always knew that I looked too skinny, but this visit had completely opened my eyes. As soon as my hip width will increase, I will have the new Polaroids taken, and this time she will send the clients the ones where I’m only wearing a bikini as well.
Besides from the modeling, I have been also planning for the boarding school, as it’s only like a month away! I still can’t believe that I will be all alone in another country. I’m so overwhelmed for this opportunity! I don’t even know what to expect from it! But anyway, I have been buying and gathering some stuff for the leave — like bedding, school bag, warm slippers, tons of socks, portable speaker, leisure clothes, sleeping clothes, etc.
My mother has also made sure that I had all the medicine with me, and that all my vaccines are done. I will try my best not to overpack, and pack only the stuff that I won’t be able to survive without. So wish me luck with that! In August the last alterations for my leave will be done, and then I will be good to go!
Now about my diet. A big change that I’ve decided to make right after taking my Polaroids and talking to my booker — I have decided to incorporate seafood into my diet. So after I came home I sat at the desk and looked at the pictures of some of my favorite fashion models. I was mesmerized by their gorgeous and healthy bodies. But none of them were living a plant-based diet — I mean I’m not trying to live off someone else’s life choices, but I desired to be like one of them. I’m not saying that I change my diet just because of that, but I have missed the seafood the most then I decided to become vegan. I got the inspiration for this diet from Alexandria Morgan. She’s one of my favorite fashion models out there, and I’m a big admirer of hers. She has her own youtube channel — with what I’m obsessed with. There she uploads videos about her life, and they have really helped me with easing into my modeling career. She has an awesome personality and she’s loads of fun to watch. So definitely go check out her channel!
Anyhow, Alexandria is pescatarian, which is basically a vegetarian diet with the addition of seafood. So this is the diet that I have decided to adapt to my lifestyle, but my pescatarian diet will be a little different from the normal one, as I will still presume to not consume any dairy, poultry or any other animal produced food. So basically it’s still like a vegan diet, but with seafood. This change in my diet will make eating out so much easier, as I can now go to the seafood restaurant knowing that the menu will include something for me. I’m very happy with my decision, as my favorite cuisine is Asian. Now, I can try so much more dishes with seafood in it! I will just have to look out for eggs and dairy, but fortunately, Asian cuisine rarely uses dairy products. My favorite seafood is salmon by the way.
So that’s all that I wanted to inform you guys about my life. I can’t be happier with my life right now. I feel like this year is the best year in my life. I have never felt more satisfied. I can’t believe that I’m working as a model and that a month from now I will be a boarding student in England! Unbelievable how life can change in such a short period of time. I so grateful for this life and the opportunities that it has given me, and I can’t wait to see what it will bring me in the future.
