Lately, my skin has been looking better than ever before. So I wanted to share some of the products that I have been using to maintain a good looking skin. I value a healthy- looking skin, and I always make sure that my skincare routine has got all the essentials that it needs. I don’t care if I’m uberly tired — I will still make sure that I had done my skincare routine before going to bed. Plus, it’s hard for me to even fall asleep without any cream on — I just feel really dehydrated and weird. So without further-or-do let’s get on with my current skincare obsessions!
1. Hydra Beauty by Chanel
I’m in love with this skincare line! These products transformed my skin completely. I own four products from the line — micro serum, micro creme, intense smoothing eye gel, and essence mist. I got these from Tallinn as I was looking for some new skincare products to try out — at the time I was breaking out pretty badly. So I came across Chanel’s skincare and saw a stand with three products (I bought the essence mist from Dubai — but they did have it there). The products weren’t cheap, but then it comes to maintaining clear skin then I don’t mind the prices. And I think that I have never been — in my whole life — more satisfied with skincare products than I am with these. I literary applied the products like the directions said, and the next morning my skin was almost clear from acne! I remember looking at myself in the mirror and being amazed by the results. Anyway, the products are definitely worth the splurge. The consistency isn’t heavy, and it makes your face feel immediately hydrated when you apply them. The essence mist I use a lot. Mainly I bring it with me to photoshoots — it makes my skin feel so refreshed and hydrated. It’s also great to use over makeup.
2. Jasmine Blossom Infinite Hand Cream by THANN
Never have I ever used a better hand cream than this one. The consistency of it is thick, but as you smooth it in your hands, it immediately sinks into your skin — leaving your hands feeling smooth, and not greasy or wet. I really appreciate the fact that it absorbs so fastly into the skin because after my skincare routine I like to read magazines or books, and I hate having wet hands while I’m holding my book or a magazine. Plus the smell is amazing — I love jasmine’s scent. I got the cream from Phuket. The brand is among my favorite ones. I own loads of other products from it.
3. Breakout Control Targeted Blemish Spot Treatment by KIEHL’S
This one I got advised by one of the workers in KIEHL’S beauty aisle. I asked for products for treating acne, and she recommended this spot treatment, and it worked magic. It flattened out my breakout and left my skin looking clear and flat. The smell of it is unpleasant — but as long as it works — I don’t mind the odor.
4. BOOSTER Detox by Clarins
Another great item to fight breakouts. This is used to mix with your cream. I like to use it after a long day of wearing makeup or after a flight. It hydrates the skin and leaves it feeling smooth. I don’t use it all the time — just when I feel like my skin needs detoxifying.
5. Dreamy Vanilla Fragrance Lotion Parfumée by Victoria’s Secret
As you already know (if you had read my other blog posts) I’m obsessed with Victoria’s Secret. I love their lotions and other beauty products, but this one has to be one of my favorite ones. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and hydrated. But the main reason why I love this product because of the scent — the smell of vanilla is so amazing. Sometimes when I apply it before going to bed — the next morning I like to smell my pillows and covers — I know it’s weird but the scent is of vanilla is just the best.
6. Soothing Cleansing Oil by Bobbi Brown
This cleansing oil is incredible! I like to wash my makeup off with it as it leaves the skin feeling so soft afterward. Plus the hint of jasmine leaves a nice scent to the skin. I have always preferred using cleansing oils instead of cleansing waters — so this product is a sure winner for me. I bought it from my trip to London, and I’m still in love with it. Sometimes if I want to exfoliate my skin I use another product from Bobby Brown — Buffing Grains for Face — along with it.
7. Rosy Lips Lip Therapy by Vaseline
This the best find from the drugstore for me. I found this lip product in Big C at Phuket. I fell immediately for it. My lips were so plump and soft — just after applying it once. It has been my essential for the last three years. Every time I travel to Thailand I buy like three of these. I have never come across a better lip product than this one.
8. Oil-free facial sunscreen by THANN
Another wonderful skincare item from THANN. I have been taking this sunscreen with me to every warm destination that I have traveled. I have even used it in Estonia on sunnier days for my runs. I like that it’s oil-free, and it feels very light on the skin. Plus it doesn’t burn then it gets into the eyes. And of course, the scent is amazing. After the use, my skin feels really smooth and nurtured.
9. The Smoothing & Plumping Pearly Lotion by Lancome
This product is amazing to use prior the run — every time that I feel a bit weary, I use this and it wakes me up. It’s like a miracle in a bottle. Why drink coffee if you have lotion — right? Anyway, this product had helped me so much during the school when I struggled to get more sleep. Plus it leaves the skin feeling hydrated and silky. I found this product from Taylor Hill’s Instagram post, and I’m really glad that I did.
10. Tahitian Lagoon and Alps Mineral Water Face Mist by THANN
And again —THANN— what can I say — I just love this brand. I have used this product more than any other skin care item. I have taken it to my travels, photoshoots, night-outs — and I will probably never get tired of it. It is just an amazing product. I use it as a setting spray or to just freshen myself up during the day. It has a wonderful scent to it (like every THANN product). I’ll definitely rebuy it when it finishes.
So these were all my favorite skincare products. Actually, I had even more of my favorite ones, but I didn’t want to make the list too big — so I had to choose. It was hard to decide on the best products, but I think that I managed to do a good job by the end.
Please let me know in the comments some of your essential skincare items, and whether you have tried any of the products that I have listed.
